Experience
I graduated in 2015 from Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in biology. When I wasn't studying and working towards my degree, I helped tutor my peers in biology and organic chemistry, in addition to working as a teacher's assistant in the biology department. After finishing college, I started working as a medical assistant in a dermatology assistant while preparing for my entry into medical school. As an aspiring doctor, I know exactly how important education and tutoring is. The best way to ensure that someone succeeds in the professional world is to teach them. I like working as a tutor because it gives me the chance to empower students who're looking to better themselves professionally. When teaching, I do more than feed students answers that will prepare them for tests. I teach lessons that my pupils can relate to, so that they're able to apply their classroom knowledge when working in the field. I understand that not everyone enjoys learning through lectures, which is why I adopt a student-centered approach that includes a lot of activities and exercises to make the learning experience interactive and engaging. When I'm not working as a tutor, I like to spend my time making music, going to art museums, and practicing yoga.
