I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the Pennsylvania State University, A Master's of Science degree in Educational Psychology, and I am currently working on my Ph D. in Education at Northeastern University. I am also a certified Academic Life Coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
Experience
I have over 13 years experience in teaching, advising, and life coaching students from 7th grade through college seniors. My approach to student development is a holistic one that employs ideas and practices used to help students develop many of the soft skills that school and colleges today do not teach them. Skills such as communication, developing flexibility and adaptability in thinking and learning, leadership skills designed to help students develop and reach their goals which often includes getting good grades, improving personal relationships with teachers and parents, and deciding what to major in at college. I have many references from parents and students upon request. I have even taken on parents as life coaching clients after they have witnessed the growth of their sons and daughters. I have extensive experience in working with two groups of students particular: 1. Students who have ADD or ADHD 2. Student Athletes It is not uncommon for me to life offer life coaching sessions to parents after they begin witnessing their own sons' and daughters' improvement.
